  • slamming rear e46 help!!

I'm currently not happy with my rear setup, it's not low enough. rolling, pulling and shaving have been done to lower my car more but apparently it doesn't help much. i could if i want lower the car more but then i would not be able to drive my car because the wheels touches the guards

the gap between wheels and guards now is 3 fingers gap. i want to lower it another 1 to 1.5 fingers. wheels specs are: 19x9.5 +20 front, 19x10.5 +22 rear. tyres 225/35 front and 235/35 rear.

and the question is, If i bought chamber arm would it help me to solve the problem?? planning to run chamber -3 or -4 and i have no idea what chamber i'm running at the moment.

    suggestions please guys

    What is chamber?

Camber doesn't go low. Offsets don't make it lower. Adjusting arches doesn't make it lower either.

What coilovers are you on most importantly, do you have the rubber hats in there still, do you have the adjusters in there. If no to them all time to get out the angle grinder.

Sounds like he's rubbing, not unable to spin the coils farther down.

So in that case, camber, offsets, and adjusting arches does help

      OP you gotta post pics

I swear that last sentence in teh first paragraph wasn't there when I read it first haha woops.

        Ignore my reply.

Pretty much the total reverse of what I said. If you want to go much lower, bin the 19s for a smaller wheel.

I'm on BC coilover. by rubber hats do you mean bumpstop?? what adjusters are we talking abt here?

i was thinking to change to 18s but my car wouldn't be able to make it through the driveway. so would stick with 19' for now

Need better pictures, ones of where it touches the arches, and of your arch rolling so far.

What tire size are you running on those 19's? Rim and tire specs would help a bit man. Camber arms would help a tad if you want to go lower on 19's. I'm a firm believer that you can slam on 19's. I'm not saying your not gonna rub here and there, but with proper sizing, rolling and measurements, you can do it. If that's your plan of course.

Yeah it would be way easier if you were on 18s. :/ I think it looks good for what you've got now.

I fitted camber arms hoping they would help me go lower on 17x9 ET5 with a 205/40 and it didn't, but I haven't had it professionally aligned.

I don't think there is much else you can do with tyres anything less than 235 on 10.5 would be quite scary.

Not too far off where mine sit, what tyres are they? How bad is the rubbing? Tyre sidewall all still there?

tyres are achilles and they only rub occasionally, on big bump only. sidewall still good. i just fitted it last month so everything still good.

are you suggesting me not to get the camber arm??

How much are you looking to stretch tire man? You could run a 215-35 on the 9.5 and a 225-35 on the 10.5. 225 on a 10.5 might be a little sketch for some people idk. A stretch is just left to ones own preference. I have a friend that has that stretch and size and it should provide you with some more clearance to avoid rubbing. Do you have more room to go down on your rear coils? I know on my F&F coils I took out some of the "unneeded" collars and left 2 in there. Shortened the shock and its almost tucking rim. Camber arms in my opinion would help but you would have to be able to go lower with your coils. Youd tucking rim and not aiming for fitment since they are 19's. Fitment would sit a lil higher

Wait, they only rub over bumps.......

                          Sounds fine to me then.

You created the username stance and are bitching about rubbing?

                            Figure it out.
