    Grenade that E30

    So, a good friend of mine always says that E30's are missing 1 thing. Well, my track car is now "complete". I installed the grenade tonight.

    A friend of mine bought me a grenade for my birthday...and another friend machined and welded a nut on it so that I could thread it on to my AKG shifter.

    I think it turned out nicely. I just have to remember to not pull the pin.

        That's awesome. I'm sure the grenade will take some getting used to though. No way it's comfortable...

                      Thanks and no. It is an AKG Motorsport Stage II Quick Shifter. It is tall to keep it in close proximity to the steering wheel. However, it still only has 2.5 inches of travel from 1st to 2nd measured at the top of the shift knob.

                      Here is a crappy cell pic of it before I installed it. That metal plate mounts to the top of the trans tunnel...moving the pivot point up a whole lot.
