The Ken Block thing started as a joke when Import Alliance was in Atlanta. A few of us were commenting on how KB's shirts seemed to be everywhere, and we thought it was sort of funny. It's not like wearing your favorite team's shirt, or your favorite car brand's shirt, IMO. KB has built himself into his own brand, and it's odd knowing that most of the kids that rep his shit don't realize that he's also one of the guys behind DC shoes, the old Blunt snowboarding mag, and Big Brother magazine. All they know is that the guy rallies and does gymkhana. Do they know any other rally drivers? Do they know the history? Do they realize there was a time before Subaru and Mitsubishi? Probably not, and that's what's irritating to me about those damn shirts. It's a trend, like Von Dutch/TapOut, and Famous Stars and Straps.
But what the fuck do I know. Wear whatever you want.
