  • Formula D "The Gauntlet" 2011, Spectators perspective.

Since I wasn't fortunate enough to get a media pass for this years "Gauntlet" at Wall, NJ this year, I decided to take a few photos from the spectators perspective, which (I think at least) gives a different view to those photos we are used to seeing from the track level.

Keep in mind all of these photos were taken from the stands, so they are things in the way in some shots.

    All of these were taken with a T2i with a 70-200 f/4L.

    1. Matt Powers after his crash in the first round.

Awesome stuff dude, seriously better than I was anticipating considering the fact that you were in the stands. 2nd one is my fave.

              And one more.

This Z and I must have had some good vibes he was the only car that I consistently had a nice focus on.

You've got a lot of talent, Kielan.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

                  Your blast pipes look stupid.

Sweet shots again, I know how hard it can be to try and get track pictures without a media pass. Fences are such a pain.

I'm sure we will see each other before that, it was definitely nice seeing you, and your car really does look amazing.

Thanks Jorge, it was a bit of a pain at times, but I did what I could, and I was pleased with the results.

as much as he was awful at drifting, i love that they made them go one more time because jr was too scared of hitting him if he spun so he left a mile between them on his follow run.

and the fd driver also broke a record at the event, lowest qualifying score ever.
