  • Another e28, finally think its worth looking at.

So it is still not perfect, but it has come MILES from where it was when I bought it. It is a 1988 BMW 535is with some very minor mods so far. Bilstein sports with H&R's with one coil cut in the front to keep the car even. Wheels are unknown to me but they are 17x8 et20 (for now, something new is in the works).

What the car looked like when I bought it:

Then picked up a Yakima rack for super cheap:

Then I copied Mike's old roof rack on Rusty:

    Valve cover painted:

Springs installed and plasti dipped the bumper trim, before rear spring perch was adjusted:

    I love plasti dip:

Then I got the rear bilsteins lowered, picked up a rust free trunk at pick n pull at their 1/2 off weekend. Old IS trunk loaded up for the junker. This is the current state of the car. The rack is off for now, kinda going for a more simple look for now.

Headlight is back on now, no pics since re-installed or rack was removed:

More things are happening, working on a set of 16x9.5's. Negotiations with the seller have been frustrating at best. Then its time for spacers, tires and more coils cut. Would love to Euro bumpers someday but for now its outta my budget for this car.

Anyway, this is not a build thread, just showing some progress.

    Ok bye!

Looks decent. Certainly has potential. I say throw a chrome kidney grill on the front, makes it look loads better.

E28 <3. LOVE the exhaust. And yes, plastidip kicks major ass. Half my car is plastidip'd, lol.

It definitely has potential, and chrome kidneys are on the to-do list. Trying to keep my eyes out at Pick n Pull to pick some up.

Someday the car will be worthy. Hopefully this jingle ass from craigslist will reply to his email so he can sell his wheels to me lol
