For now I can't go lower. I should have gone with a 205/40/16 tire but I didn't want too much stretch so I went with the 215/45. It rubbs quite a bit. Also miata's have a lot of bracing underneath the car and that's already getting bottomed out plenty

You gotta unbolt that rear brace, buddy of mine did after a friend of his had his car totalled because it got caught and ripped out his subframe.
