We used those telescopic batons when I was in the army.
Awesome piece of kit. Strike with enough force, and they'll easily shatter a mans kneecap. But those batons aren't toys, they do serious damage, and taking a thing like this into your own hands sounds a bit stupid if you ask me. For all you know the guy is sky high on meth or something, and might even have gun.
