  • Okay So Now I'm Pissed(worst day ever thread)

So it was a rainy day and it was cold and I didn't have a jacket.

    That sucked.

My belts were squeaking more than usual.

    That sucked.

The girl I was going to ask to homecoming already got a date.

    That sucked.

Then some nice truck driver decided to leave a hunk of asphalt for me.

    That really sucked.

Well somehow I swerved and was able to not run it over but somehow it still was able to take a cookie monster sized bite out of my lip. Well now I am back to my stock lip and also what seems to be 4x4 status. As some of you know I'm on GC coilovers. Well I am all the way down on 6 inch springs in the front and halfway down in the rear on 5 inch springs. Well unfortunately the guy from GC says I can't get 5 inch springs for the front because they only make them in 2.25 inches and that won't fit around my strut. Which sucks because they say the only way to get lower is to buy their camber plates which will only give me 1.25 inch drop in the front. I want to go 2-2.5 inches lower in the front. Ugh what do I do? I want to be lower now. And I was going to buy some used camber plates which would take me a little lower, but I want shorter springs or something to take me lower up front, rear is purrrfect for me. GRRRRRR.

Eh, if it was me, I'd play with that a bit. Put a similarly sized cookie sticker next to it on the side and a cookie monster in the back side window. It'd be a nice change from all the pedobears.

Then again, I don't drive a car anywhere near as clean as yours.

The way you formatted this made me LQTM. But that sucks dude. I would embrace the broken lip. But then again I kinda like beat up cars. Fly solo to homecoming? I think that's what I'm doing. And being cold always sucks.

          I mean it's friday right?

Do you have the piece that got broken off?
Cause if I were you I'd fix it back on & get a stitch sticker to cover up the crack

driving an E36 in high school? Ballinnn!

dude, judging by your sig pic, 2.5 inches is going to be a LOT, you will be tucking wheel and your car will be really hard to drive. This may sound impossible, especially coming from me but there is such thing as too low. the 1.5" lower sounds perfect, but dude, there are plenty of spring manufacturers that make 2.5" ID springs, (is yours a weird tapered shape or something?), and they are usually linear spring rate so even cutting them wont hurt.

That sucks man. Sorry to hear. going to homecoming solo is waaay more fun though. plus it's friday anyway!

I cracked another fikse, I left my only coat home 3 hours away and I live in shitty cold albany, my car isnt even remotely as clean as yours, and on top of that I got a cold so I probably wont even go out and get drunk tonight! lol hope that makes you feel better

If you feel like selling the lip, I'll buy it. I want a gtr but it would sit dumb low off the ground and most likely crack within no time, so I'd rather rock an already broken one lol.

Wait. You can cut linear springs without hurting them? OMG rearry? 1.5 just doesn't seem like enough...if you have seen eurobeems car that's how low I want to be.

Comparison of our cars(I want to be as low or a tad lower than him):

I would definitely sell it to you. I really like the cookie monster idea because I love him, but idk just not going with my style right now. Sorry about your mishaps too I still love your car though. I don't have the extra piece so you know. You might be able to make one or something idk or get creative. Here is a bigger pic.

yea dude, linear springs are the same rate all over the spring. where as progressive springs have a soft part and a hard part.

and its really hard to tell with photos, but maybe you're right about the ride height...

                        man, i love E36s.
