the driving force for water-cooled for me was simple. i wanted a turbo, something that i can drive long distances with out worrying the whole time, and lastly head temps. turboing a bug while being air-cooled is easy, but heat does become a problem. i messed with 100's of air-cooled motors in my past, and it took me a lot to get myself to commit to actually being "one of those guys that water-cool a bug", but in the end im super happy with it. i finally got a good tune on the motor using megasquirt efi. over the winter ill be planning to turbo it, HOPING to finally get this thing in a paint booth so i can get some shiny paint on it, finish the interior, and lastly get my BBS RS's put on.

i had a type 4 motor in it, but it just wasnt what i wanted after all the work that went into it. i had more fabrication work into getting my old type 4 motor in than i did with my WBX motor. and type 1 parts bolt on to a WBX. really was a no brainer for me.spell check is over rated!
