I swapped out the front struts to the Air Lift XL (Slam series) because the car needed to come down a bit after the swap from the 19" Rotiform to the 18x8.5 Work VS-XX's. The Work's were originally built as 18x8" wheels so all that was swap a 2" to a 2.5" lip. There are "straight out of the box" with no spacers or adapters and I'm very happy with how they turned out considering I had so little time to get them on for the show.

This is my 2006 Passat which I have my fiancee daily driving... It was completely stock (with the exception of a set of Mk5 GTI 18" Huff wheels) on Thursday night. I put on a set of staggered 19" Auto Art wheels that I had sitting in-stock after I traded them for some air ride management stuff as well as the Air Lift Lifestyle fully-digital air ride setup. The Air Lift kit is a 100% bolt-in kit for the Mk5/6 and worked beautifully on the Passat. I was originally going to do the "XL/Slam" kit but that conflicted with the goals on the build... a NO COMPROMISES air ride setup that my fiancee could drive every day without having anything more than a VERY basic knowledge of how to operate it. I wanted her to be able to drive it around every day without having to worry about driving a lowered car but also be able to take it for long-trips to events, etc.
Pictured: My friend Chance... NOT my fiancee

And here are the 2 cars at the Slammed Society / Formula D Showcase...

I'm very happy with how both cars came out and are both now able to take a back seat for the Wuste2011 Project Car (Jetta Wagon) which is in the paint booth as we speak
