i was never a huge fan of this car but very sad to see it go. i was impressed with the amount of work put into it considering at first glance its just a rusted BMW. i assume you are familiar with uglybastid's build of his mk1 rabbit. it was a very inovative and well known build in the VW world. and much like rusty. none of the car was forced. he never ment for the bucket to have the end look like it did. witch is why i had a large respect for rusty. i dont think in your head when you first bought the car you ever expected it to end up like it was. and i wanted to see the car progesss more and more every so offten. hopefully your next project will be something of the same. not just a forced project to get back on a level as everyone views rusty on.

Very happy that no one got hurt but that sucks so much! Not just for Rusty but for the wheels and everything else in the shop. Hopefully you don't have to fight too much to get some $$ back from the INS.

I saw the video of your garage burning this morning before the op deleted it, i really hoped rusty was not in that garage.... Car was THE original gangster of this scene. Damn I really didn't expect Rusty to end up like this. Sorry for your loss man.

A lot of people ***** this car but I think more loved it because it stood as reminder for people to not be afraid to do your own thing and get creative with YOUR car. I know it will be missed.
