I'm usually the one on here that pulls the "too much poke" card the soonest, however I don't think this car has too much poke at all, if it was a modern car with body kit and rocker skirts then sure, but because of the body style, where the rockers wrap under the car I think that this excessive poke works out great and looks awesome.
im running or was running stock cut springs. i broke a rear spring so i had been looking for repalcements and "thought" that a set of 96-98 mustang springs would work being the curb weights are close. well the rates are way too soft. so i have a guy in denver thats got a set of stock springs, the car rode great and well in the end they were designed for the damn car....
yes Pure Euro "brandon" the car is gonna make it to Wuste.
the wheels are Allied circle track wheels with a 5x144.3 and no wobble bolts. planned on buying a set and beed driving around on stock lugs and haven't noticed a wobble or bolts comming loose. if so then ill buy a set.
satin black i think will look good. the black fender on the driver side is a example of what it will look like. i did it as a test panel. i don't want to do a glossy paint cause i just don't care to. so ill post a pic so you photoshop gurus can play with it as i am open to ideas................ show me what ya got.
no the car isn't staight piped but i do have a crazy plan for the exhaust. just have to wait and see.
i will say this though......... it's been a tought build especially as of the last couple weeks. my fience and i are leaving each other and it isn't easy. she gets the house but luckly i have a great friend with a 3 car garage that ill be staying with till that i can park the car and still be able to work on it.
I still vote no flat black. The car looks great the way it is. So if you just have to paint it, I'd do a matte cream or beige similar to the stock color. I think that would just be perfect IMO.
^thanks man^ your bmw is sick man. i love that shark nose body. yeah was kinda thinkn about a creame white. but hey i just might and go satin black and if i wanna change it up later i can. this car is kinda a fun build and just play with it till i like it. i was gonna do fender flairs from a 240z but got out the ol baseball bad and hammer and walla. first time i have done it and im happy with it. gonna keep my head up and push through and get this ready for Wuste2011.
damn. feeling every bit of this car but the excessive amount of poke. just a little less and it would be perfect. nice job with doing something unique!
