OK WUT!? your shimming the entire hub carrier in the rear..... this means your caliper should already be perfectly spaced for the angle (of your rotor) with or without the camber.

Nope, they mount directly to the rear beam independently on mk4. I know what you are talking about though I also have a restored 87 that was 16vt now doing 1.8t with mk4 me7.
