Fabel, The reason so many people dont like the way you have gone about smoothing you side walls is not because you smoothed them. Its the way you are wording your responses. smooth sidewalls are not a game changer, nor will they be "the next big thing".

I understand that you are probably trying to be sarcastic in your posts, but unfortunately there isnt a sarcasm button where people can read it in a sarcastic manner.

I completely agree with what you're saying, just don't know how to conduct myself any differently. unless I'm on the clock at work or sitting in church, I just gotta do it 'wild' but you're right. hopefully one day I mature & all . . . but I hope not.

it's a fun car, I'm a fun guy, & this forum ties all of this together. I'm trying to go lower than 99% of the pimps out there while making FUN my priority & pushing the envelope in the ways that my mind thinks.

totally. in their defense, they've never met me & I do come off as extreme. if everyone just realized my passion is deep & my pride in this car & forum are the same, then I wouldn't make everyone so tense or be considered so controversial.

I really wish I could take your advice & just keep on rollin', but my roadster hasn't been able to do that in quite some time; it's only capable of scrapin', so hopefully this is okay for you Krolik & I'll see your crew soon enough.

If I ran 15x6 +45 wheels with 195/50's and 0 camber, my sidewalls still wouldnt rub.

It is a wheel and tire choice, I understand what you are saying, but again suspension geometry has nothing to do with smooth sidewalls.

also for oxer, suspension geometry has something to do with rubbing or not, try running the same setup with 0 camber and -5 camber, caster will also greatly help in the front. And who gives a f*ck if its illegal to shave them? most of us, are lower and poking more then the law allows.

I was never trying to compete with anyone, just pushing my car in as many directions as possible. if others do similar or develop it further, then they have my respect automatically.

I'm just proud of what I've been able to come up with here & don't ever recall seeing this at the shows is all. wanted to share with the rest of the SW pimps & leave it be was I originally intended.

Im with pavel here, why the hell would someone be proud of rubbing? its the worst part about fitment, in my opinion the perfect fitment is really tight without rubbing.

shaving the sidewall vs rubbing it, the shaving is all nice and even often used in the hotrod community. tho the rubbing is normally just in one spot, and quite deep too. '

I like the shaved sidewalls gives it a fresh rubber clean look to it. A video trying to get it ramp into the shop would ba a great video to show how low it is.

thoroughly agreed. I'd much rather spank a d ass of a smooth buttery honey's behind than one that's been whooped like she was lashed in an episode of Roots. no scars, no gouging, no rough stuff do I eva want my brothers. & that be the whole hearted truth right there.

haha. yep. plenty of the credit goes to fluid, but I'll be explaining so much more to this soon & I invite FMU to do the same. especially the highly custom test pipe/ clearance issues being dealt with & overcome.

I didnt touch my sidewalls. The car does it for me, its a part of the lifestyle.

very well done Oxer. love how hardcore those rear tires are. without arguing, I still say mine have to be much smoother overall just because of the difference in methods used. the other thing is, it looks like I can see writing on your front tires.

regardless, Oxer showed what I'm talking about people. there's a difference between being a wangster with gouged rubbing tires & buttery smooth cleanly burned tires of a gangster. clearly, Oxer is the latter.

Easiest way to shave your sidewalls?

but we both know the story behind those tires - last minute decision to track an extremely fitted coupe with more poke (tasteful) than I have ever seen on an E36 before. the compression of autobahn through hitting aggressive apexes caused that, not the normal daily drive or spirited cruise.

so the gouging was certain to be unavoidable & says nothing negitive about his suspension setup. just wanna make sure that's clear as certainly he falls under the gangster category eventhough his tires happen to get gouged on that specific day.
