That, and spending time around a guy whose been in the bmw racing world since i was in diapers who swears by e30s
I like mine more than almost anything ive driven to date. And ive driven an s52 swapped one, that was fun

Love the e36 though. Never been in one so cant compare.

So i cant say i would never own an e36 either, i'd love to try one out. Although alot of r3vers who go e36, end up coming back to an e30
And ive driven a m54 3.0 z3 alot, still like the handling of the e30 more (although the powers nice)Last edited by Stephen; 10-01-2009, 11:06 PM.

Love the e36 looks super clean! Boost is always fun.
I am with Sean to a certain extent on the e30 M3 deal. They are a great looking, and handling car, but at the end of the day they are still an underpowered 80's car, with a balanced chassis. Although it is a super nice car, I am not sure it deserves the amount of worship it receives.

I mopped the floor with my buddys fairly modded e30m. Woohoo it handles so well, unfortunately it doesn't have the nuts to climb a hill.
Also, being as into the whole "stance" thing as I am, I would take a non m e30 WAY before an e30 m. They look a thousand times cleaner stretch and poked.

Each to his own i guess. I think for a lot of people its the history and collectors value too, being the first M3 and what it did for BMW when it came to winning them races.
But im with you 100% on the stance. Non M e30s look way better "stanced". The non m fenders work alot better

After hanging out on alot of BMW boards, I must admit I'm getting slighty bored with E30s of every kindAnd yes, the M3 does get hyped. Newer are faster, and that's just a fact. Only thing with the E30 M3 does better is feedback and on-the-limit feel. Another good point is that they are a bit unstanceable. I got mine the lowest I've seen any E30 M3, but that was a Sport Evo with the higher cut wheel arches.
|Proper stance and stretch = An acquired taste|
