  • Dubai 500E W124

Hey - I've been lurking around here a while as a secret stance man. Now the time has come to get my 124 500e down and sat the way it should be.

    As it is today...

I've been up and down and all over with wheels and only landed on these today - c63 AMG rims - even now I'm still not sold...would be interested to hear your thoughts.

and a quick play with a drop...Now that is the next issue. Getting the big merc to the ground is not the easiest of things to do. I don't really want to loose the self levelling suspension by I might not have any other choice.

I think I need some stanceworks help...

First off.. welcome. Nice to see someone from Dubai.

Second.. I actually really like the C63 wheels.. more then likely, you will have to lose the self-leveling system. It's a PITA anyways.

Ditch the self-leveling system by replacing it with shock and spring and capping off the hydraulic system. There is a way to absolutely SLAM this car on springs but it becomes relatively hard to drive. If you want to lay it out by just adding springs let me know. AndreNY did it on bilstein sports and couldn't drive the car because it wasn't doable in NY.

            Welcome to SW.

Cheers - I've seen AndreNY's car and noticed he'd gone the 400e route. Is there not a way of restricting the SLS and allowing it to sit lower at the back? Fronts would then be much easier.

The roads here in Dubai are pretty much perfect so non of the issues you guys have in NY/NJ etc...having driven over there I don't know how you do it. I thought the UK was bad...

Is there a reason you want to keep the SLS? What do you mean 400e route? his was a 500e as well.

Why not get a custom bag setup made? I believe there's management for bags available that features self leveling suspension as well.

No reason other than cost to be honest. 400e route is springs...sorry should have said that No SLS basically...

When I disconnected everything to refresh the SLS she dropped to the deck hence the thought that I could reduce the fluid in the system to get a drop out back. Dirty fix though...
