I Wanna Stance a Bus

More specifically a 91 VW Vanagon.

I have a chance to pick-up a 91 VW Carat Vanagon for cheap. Why so cheap?

Cause it was flooded in Katrina. It was flooded 10 inches from roofline line full.



you can see the waterline on the windsheild if you look hard enough.


I have a trade going for a Subaru SVX which is 230 hp motor that with a little fanagaling will replace the flooded 95hp motor. Which means I have the motor swap first, then buy the Bus

I have a crazy idea about air bags on this project and think that this would be a fun build.

basically I want to build a shinier version.









right now I am just in the dreaming/ planning phase so ....

Would love to see it done. I have a "soft spot" for VW busses. I have a '71 "fat chick" sitting behind my shop and have always wanted to do an older split.

Yes, do it! I had a Vanagon for a few months, lined the interior with zebra fur and had a queen size matress in the back, shit was dope. Unfortunately I only have a few bad pics of it.
