Took her out this weekend and cleaned her up a little. Needs an oil change and I'll probably just replace all the fluids for good measure. It was sounding like shit. Still runs like a tank, though.

Edit: Had a long discussion with my parents today about a new car and Ethel's future. It looks like they are leaving it up to me, so Ethel will become a project car. Slowly I'll build her up with proper wheels, suspension, new paint and fix all rust/body damage.

Excited to keep her and slowly hack away at getting her properly fitted and show her off as my own for a while longer.

If you do keep the car, I hope you do follow through with the 2.7 build once funding is available. It's not too often... well...not often enough, that you see built m20s in E28s, so I love the idea.

It's been hard being away from my 535 while I'm at school, but I hope to put a lot of time into the car once summer comes around.

I hope you keep the car, and look forward to what comes next!

Haven't checked this thread since you first posted it, car is looking good man! I know you haven't done much besides for lower it more, but that alone made the car better. Keep chipping away at the problems, don't let them get you demotivated. Are you still doing the 2.7i swap?

After a rough spring break of working on my car, it looks like it will not be repainted. It's just costing too much money. After fixing the exhaust, we found a leak at the cat, and the flange on the new exhaust doesn't match the old flange, so that joint leaks as well. Nothing too bad. But After control arms, brake pads, exhaust and shipping, just spent over $500. It's not worth it any more to have more problems come along.
