  • I think my stanced snow tire set up sucks, but here are better pics

I washed the roach today, but got a little moisture in the passenger headlight. I'm sitting at about 20psi in front and 38psi in back (the back will go lower, but it's sitting sidewall on rolled fender lips here). Wheels are 18x8 ET50 front with 20mm adapters and 18x10 ET50 rear with 40mm adapters. I happen to have a spare set of 25mm adapters if I wanted to bring the rears in 15 per side.

What do you guys think? Leave as is, or install narrower rear spacers to bring in the backs (and go lower in back)?

damn man your winter stance is on point! love it. And for the rears maybe bring it in and match the front a little more and go down a hair in the rear when you bring it in. Either way it looks great.

Since you have other adapters already, I'd use those to bring the backs in a bit more and keep the same height. (blasphemy? )

I really like this setup, even if it's your winter steez

Tons of poke on luxury cars doesn't look right to me. I say rock the 25mm's out back.

Would you ever know it all started for me in on the VAG side of carmakers? I tend to adapt OEM wheels from other makes on whatever I drive, beginning with Porsche 356 wheels on my first car a 1969 Beetle, Porsche Cups on the MkII, S-Class on the Volvo 855 and Porsche Sport Technos on Volvo C70 vert.

Wish I had digital pics of the Beetle - it was lowered about a foot on space saver spares in front and completely stanced static back in 1993.

Hmmm.. now that I'm looking at pics Jeremy, I would say use the smaller adapters. I like poke a lot, but I think bringing it in will still give you plenty aggressiveness, while evening out the rake when aired out.

Again, love the winter setup man.

I think going with smaller adapters would be good, to match the front a bit more... However I'm not sure if 25mm is the right size... I think 5mm more would be perfect, i.e. 30mm adapters. But try it out, swapping out the adapters ain't much work after all.
