  • E36 tire size help 16x8 et13

OK, Just picked up these 16x8 ACS Type 1 reps (no offset printed, but backspacing is 130mm and using various wheel offset calculator, I'm coming up with et13 for offset, which seems right to say the least.

Anyway, here's how they test fit on the car:

They will of course camber a little more once the car is under it's full weight (here it's stil being supported by the jack) ...

I was thinking 195/50, but I would like to hear opinions: I am not in a hurry, my steelies are about to go on the car so I have all winter to have these wrapped with rubber and cleaned up/repainted (flaking chrome on a couple, so I'm gonna shoot them silver).

btw, will i be hella flush now?

edit: I do have a set of 10mm spacers as well, though for some reason I really doubt they will be necessary.

16's are a little small if your car isnt going to be dumped, but a 195/50 should be fine

It's fairly low as it is; with the smaller tires, I'd be another half inch lower in the front ... if I wind the coilovers down to cover the half inch of wheel gap, I think it's gonna be low enough ... the rear I can take the adjusters out if need be ... maybe almost half an inch there too.

Sorry about the wrong section fellas ... somehow missed it. No need to crucify me over it, we all make mistakes, I'm sure it can be moved.

I dunno about that. I'm scraping frame with 40's on 17's, so I think you're going to have a hell of a time getting by on 16's.

Yeah you're gonna be lowww if you want it to look right and youll probably be slamming into the ground with RLs(iirc that's what you're on, or are you on DDMs?). 195/50 sounds good.

i have basket weaves on my e36(16x8 et 20 i think?), with ground controls, spun as low as they go(still trying to figure out how to go lower) and run 205 45 toyos with stock fenders and some camber without any rubbing. Anyway heres how it looks. i know the second shot is a huge fail, more of a joke

edit: something is wrong with the photos will fix.

the e38 weaves are et23; i love those wheels ... really wanted those at one point but i couldnt find a set i wouldnt have to pay shipping on so i gave up (for now).

                          Ollie, yes, I'm on Racelands.
