the cop was really cool, prob since it was a detective and not a traffic cop. he asked me why the hell i had the car out in that weather. after making sure my license was clean told me to go home.

Really? What I've seen and heard is that most cops around here aren't that cool they'll find something to waste writing a ticket up for. Wish I could've seen the mr2 before you got rid of it though but I think I might have seen it come down my street a few times in the summer of 09 but I can't remember for sure.

here's the thing, drive like a dick around here and you are going to get tickets, drive like a normal human being and you will be fine. at any time my mr2 could of easily gotten 10 tickets, without even driving it. and colonie cops are known to be dicks but i never had issues with them, i think it helped that my car stands out and i owned it for so long because the cops around here knew me and my car and that i drove like a normal human being. so they left me alone, or they just liked my car, idk. but i do know the cops know me (not just for my car but for my house parties), and they just left me alone. i once had a colonie cop pull me over to tell me to watch out because they just got a bunch of new cops on the force that would love to give me stupid tickets for nothing, my car had an expired reg and inspection that he looked at cause he had no clue what the car was, he told me to have a nice day and didn't even mention them. just be nice to the cops and don't give them reasons to harass you.
