Okay guys...
I'm debating what to do.
A friend just offered me his car for 200€.
The car:
1995 VW Golf GL, 4 door
1.8 90hp
about 130.000-150.000 kms, I'm not sure
engine is pretty good, received a few new parts a few months ago for maintenance
the one big negative about the car is the body: afaik it's pretty rustfree but it's got two damages: First the whole part under the left rearlight is damaged, pushed in a bit because he backed up into something a few months ago. Also the lower end of the rear right fender is a bit damaged because he hit my garden fence with it.
The car in question, no pics of the damage though:

Now I'm debating through these 3 options:
Option 1:
Don't buy it.
Option 2:
Buy it, then keep as winterdrive, short term plans for the bimmer would get moved a bit behind into the winter (i.e. 18"s)
Option 3:
Buy it, then use as daily as long as it runs, take apart the BMW and rebuild it as a project.
If option 2 or 3, the Golf would be slammed, painted flat or rusted or something, I dunno, just something I won't care about too much in daily use.
What's your guys take on this? I'm really not sure what i'll do about this.
/edit:
I might also buy it, store it for a while and once my BMW is looking better (i.e. a bit of rust fighting done, 18s on and so on), start repairing the damage and build a VR6 Harlequin out of it... but I dunno what it would cost to get the damage repaired at a body shop.
