I understand doing a stretch and insanely wide rear tire on choppers and old school bikes, because they are purely made to look cool, but I will never get doing it to a badass sport bike. I admit they sometimes look cool, but the fun factor of the bike is diminished soooo much. I use my car for low and slow, I bought a bike to rip through insane corners and go 180mph. If you are going to do it though, do it to a GSXR

I understand what you're saying because none of my bikes are stretched since I ride the shit out of them. But my mom and dad are 50 years old and don't like the Harley scene, they love sportbikes, but they only cruise up and down the highway and do cosmetic stuff to their bikes. They never go hit twisties at 100+ like us younger people. It's just like the car scene, you have people that use their bikes for what they're built for, then others just like them to look different and none of their mods increase the handling of the bike.Originally posted by Petis View PostI understand doing a stretch and insanely wide rear tire on choppers and old school bikes, because they are purely made to look cool, but I will never get doing it to a badass sport bike. I think stretching looks good, but I spend too much time on turns and one wheel to own anything stretched.

yea i do, it's not stretched. my dad's 07 r1 is 8" over and soon to be wide tire haha. he pays for everything, i just work on it. i can't make him build it the way i would, i've tried.Originally posted by Petis View PostOh, and if I remember correctly, Matth3w, you have an R1? And, in reference to an R1, no matter your age, stretching one would be blasphemous.

Bike of the thread for me, if it had a skinnier front tire, not the fatty that's on there.. Old-school bobbers, choppers, and cafe racers are the only bikes that really interest me. Crotch rockets do nothing for me, they look uncomfortable and go way too god damn fast.Originally posted by Oxer View PostStance can be applied to anything automotive. If it looks spot on the way the guy who built it invisioned it, then it has the stance he was after.
