    Car looks good!

Dunno how you morons are hitting pan/skidplate at the heights you are at though.

I meant to put "Not entirely true" but didn't. But hitting anything hard enough will fuck your car up regardless of having a skidplate or not.

I'm exaggerating a bit but I could even drive over small rocks without the skidplate scraping. It was probably around 1" off the ground.

my oil pan hooks small things on the ground. there are skidplates that are proven to stop oil pan damage, but they transfer that damage to the frame or other parts of the car which can be more damaging then no skidplate. the problem i have is everyone buys these thin skidplates that bolt to the e30's rad support(flimsy sheet metal) and claim its helping out sooo much. it hangs like a half inch below the pan, it will drag on a ton of things that wouldnt have even touched the oil pan. and anything high/solid enough that would have blown out the pan will just bend that plate and blow out your pan just as easily. these plates are cosmetic, not structural.

I believe the car is sitting on the bumpstops or pretty close to doing so, this would explain the bounce I get at time and lack of dampening which makes the plate kiss the ground.

I have found a set of Bilstein Sport cores that I will be sending in to Bilstein to get shortened and rebuilt.

Yeah some people just don't know how to drive, when I first lowered my car and didnt have motor mount spacers my pan was about 2 fingers off the ground and I never hit it EVER. My control arms and subframe take the beating.

you guys are funny saying how people can't drive. I live in NY and its pretty much impossible not to hit this plate on everything. I consider myself pretty good at driving my lowered car and I still need a skid plate. it is true this skid plate sits pretty low, I have it on my e28. but i don't mind that it hits everything, it has saved my ass. i broke an oil pan before i put this on, now I have been good since.

                              OP, wheels look awesome!

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Unfortunately I sold the vert and I regret that decision every day.

I'm hoping the e30 touring I'm building now will help ease that pain.
