got some work done on the motor today...

pulled the stock twins off to replace the factory "y" pipe and down pipe is a better one... they were a bitch to take off!



then finally got the new one bolted up and turbos installed on the motor again



then i figured since i had all the stock pipin off the motor why not see what a lil wire wheel on a drill would on the dirty metal and see for yourself =)



and finally the exhaust side of the motor is done and ready to go, also installed a billet cnc block off plate for the stock bypass valve since im running a tial q bov



tomorrow ill tackle the intake side and get the motor mount brackets on and then she goes in the car! =)

well i was hung over as hell today since world of beer just opened up in town lol...



so because of that i just got a couple things done on the motor today....

cleaned up the intake mani and throttle body... before...



after...



then i did some fresh cam seals, adjustable cam gears, converted to a 2jz warer pump and a new 180 t-stat

welp got off work a lil early today so got some more work done on the motor.... also realized that im not gonna make my finish date of the 16th... just not enough time and money and parts are still on the way.... but it WILL be done for simply clean 3.... anywho onto the pics

got the bottom end of the motor set at TDC, lined up the cams to their indexing marks and got the timing belt on... honestly on of the easiest motors ive ever timed



then threw the lower timing cover on, alternator, all new billet pulleys from Drift Motion and wow the motor looks so good now! weird enough the serpentine belt that fits a 1jz without a/c is from a 2000 audi a4 2.8l lol.... so i guess there is a lil euro in this build after all haha

the glitter hood is just sticker vinyl... its only temporary... my paint is horrible on the hood so im just changing it up a lil lol.... here's another teaser

well had a couple buddies come over tonight and help me get the rest of the motor to go in

got the Xccesive Manufacturing motor mounts bolted in



then got the ACT 6 puck cluch on with a new oem flywheel and some ARP flywheel bolts then threw the r154 trans on and its ready to drop in



tomorrow its deff getting dropped in!
