    No.

Going on a pretty long vacation in August and I'll burn up pretty much all my vacation time on that this year.

Might try and make it to H20, but we'll see.

Being a grown up really does suck. I'm starting to have that reality hit me.

    Keep it up, dude.

    Update:

I'm poor and the car needs some work. Clutch, timing belt, brakes all around, all the little things to keep it going.

Working on buying a house so widening the wheels is gonna have to wait a bit. I did however bid on another job at work that gives me a 10K+ a year pay bonus, so we'll see how that works out.

With that said, within the next week I am going to start tearing down the wheels to get them ready for this year. Plan on removing the faces so I can re-polish the lips. Also, since I don't have the money to widen them, I plan on spacing them out a smidge more for the time being.

Other than the maintence things the car will pretty much stay the same this year. Grown up priorites suck (lol) but I plan to document the refinishing just because I can.

    That's all for now.

Theres an automatic tiburon that runs 10 second qm's with the beta 2 and a regular auto tranny.

Pretty sure the 5 speed should hold that kind of power.

I have 160k and then some on my 05 elantra, and the guy who works on it says in its current condition it should be good well into the 200k's and then some.

These little engines just don't know how to quit.

How many horses would you plan to shoot for? 15 psi would sound around 230 ish whp knowing the current setups out there.

If I turbo this, its the whole 9 yards. I'd build it from the block up so I could run 15+ psi and still have it as a reliable DD. I know you can run 10 psi on a stock motor, but mine almost has 90k on it.

It'd be easier just leaving this car n/a and buying something turbo next time around.

That complete turbo kit sold for $400
I tried to buy it but he never replied even though I was the first one to message him. Turbo kits aren't that expensive. CT9a turbo mani's can fit with minimal modification.

I've always wanted to turbo it and I have looked into it, but unless I start rolling in more money its not going to happen. lol

Khalil also gave me the idea of converting the wheels to 3-piece so I'm going to look into that as well.

i can't remember how much it cost to have wheels widened last time i looked. i believe i contacted motorsport tech and they said about 100/wheel?

but 3 piece conversion will probably cost 1200+. i'd contact vr and memory fab.
Thanks for the info. I don't think I'll be able to swing a conversion so I'll just get them widened.
