your using flux core wire aren't you?

yea it is 0.8 wire is that to thick

Yeah .8 is a bit thick, need more heat for the wire to melt an penetrate the steel, and for panel work you dont want heat...

ya a couple things, you will never get a stack of dimes with flux core wire. Also the wire is way to thick for thin panel work, I use .023
