No it's not. Far from it, just a lot of people trying to follow a trend (which happens to look terrible imo, especially when it involves purposely rusting painted parts)

My friend has a fully rusted mk3 jetta tdi (with the evry mod) and the thing we love about rust is how you can turn a very basic car (and in very poor condition in his case) into a car that pulls the attention of everyone. People are basically asking us questions at every red lights. rust is legit.
When you want to make a car your own , every way is fine. we dont all have lots of money to spend in mods.
Also, are stretched tires and low offsets a trend? yes they are, and so is the rust. Theres nothing bad about rust if you like it

Wow, Believe it or not i think the rust looks good. I guess just because I am an air-cooled guy. Just please keep the rust down to the fenders.

He mentioned in the first post the silver on his corrado is not something he likes so he wants to repaint it lambo grey, he likes the rusted wing on the merc so he wants to emulate it.

He lives in the Ukraine speaks better English than most people i have seen on here and all you lot can do is ****..

If this had been done stateside you lot would've been all over it with mad props and positive response, starting to get secular now.

Why do people act so boss on forums? Its his car he can do what he wants. If you dont like the rust it doesnt matter, its not your car. The thread title is "Hood Ride Rado", what did you expect?
