With the electronic throttle ones I think its just a case of fitting a cruise control stalk and activating it on the ECU with VagCom. With my model with a cable I think you have to add an extra bit of loom, an actuator and a clutch switch along with the other two things. There is a little ball on my throttle that looks like its for an actuator to attach to for either cruise control or traction control.Originally posted by tarscraper View Postis it abig job or does it cost alotto put cruise control into these yokes
Thanks man! Hopefully I can make it awesomer so I don't get bored with it.Originally posted by hi its me alec View Postawesome car

so, I know you shared a link before to the company you sourced the leather/vinyl color change kit but I was hoping that you'd list the actual products as well as the pot of goodness that secured your headliner
I'm looking at doing something like this and would like to color my plastics/vinyls and leathers
just assuming it was cleaner, filler, dye, protectant and some sponges and the like. cheers for the info
get those rs's on there already

My B5 passat... Polish the Land rover wheels?
I just got the colour change kit and some filler from that website in the link. And a general pot of contact adhesive for the headliner. Only got the filler because some of the leather has some cracking.Originally posted by softg View Postso, I know you shared a link before to the company you sourced the leather/vinyl color change kit but I was hoping that you'd list the actual products as well as the pot of goodness that secured your headliner

Finialy bought the dash part of the heated seats loom. So now I can have a warm bum once they are fitted.

Also, I was watching some american show and I saw a discovery on it with polished wheels. Same style as mine I think. But cant find any pictures of the done. Sort of considering getting mine polished now once the sun returns. But not sure. What do people think?

They are freezing when you first sit on them. But will be the same when I first get in anyway. lolOriginally posted by daniel93 View PostHow were the leather seats in the cold weather without them being heated? As im thinking about leather in my car!
I say go for it with the polished wheels mate! Will look brilliant!
Not sure on polished. Might buy another wheel to test it out on.Originally posted by DannyE32 View PostPolish them!!!

How hard was the headliner to remove and re-wrapped? I'm looking into also doing a suede for mine. Amazing Passat. The cleanest B5 I've seen by far!Last edited by BreadBaskett; 01-17-2012, 04:44 PM.

Thanks! Was just satin black spray paint. Stayed tacky for ages though for some reason on the fabric part of the visors. And when I say ages I mean months. Its ok now though.Originally posted by PedroM View PostFantastic build! Fantastic 12 pages...
What was the product that you used to paint the sun shades?
