As if we needed more pictures of the RS off the car. But here you go. lol.

Got them back from the machine shop earlier after having the bolt holes enlarged from m12 to m14. So now they will actually fit the passat.
I tried the faces on to make sure they fit.

Going to take them to the powdercoaters to have the centers and caps freshened up. Will just stay with silver.

Wound the coilovers all the way down for these pics. Still way too high!

    Too high!!

Mudflaps might have to come off. lol. (still too high)

Needs to come down another 45mm or more. On air of course. lol. So the 58mm i lowerd it for these pics plus the 45mm i want more. Thats about another 100mm lower. And with the bentleys it was already 120mm lower than standard. HA But might not be able to get that far because of the subframe.

And to go that low i need to make some room for the upper wishbones to go higher!

They have already dented the strut from the ride height wit the bentleys! So choppy choppy

And im thinking a 20mm spacer up front. So it meets the arch.

    Lol thanks man! Appreciated!

Went out in the morning after leaving it on all night and it had bubbles a bit but i still had to scrub it off, so since it worked sort of i put it on all the other dishes and it all bubbled off in an our and came off really easy. Couldn't really understand. Think it where they were in the sun. So got it all off now.

Anyway. I cracked the file out and attacked the curbing. Came out great!

    Before

    After

Looks shinyer than it is. Need a polish up.

And here is some the pics i said about in the last post

I would try lacquer thinner in the wheels, but careful, it makes paint thinner look like lemonade. Try on inconspicuous area before doing the whole wheel Not even sure it will work, but worth a try.

So i got my leather arm rest in the post today. And i got it colored as soon as i got it.

    A comparison, Old vs new

Also covered the air con surround that was the same fabric as the headlining in carbon fiber vynal wrap.

    Made a massive difference!

Also split the rest of the RS. Am taking the centers to the machine shop middle of next week. Will fix the curbing on the dishes while thats happening. And prob change my headlining while im at it. Does anyone know what i can use to strip the lacquer off the dishes. Paint stripped does not touch it!

Went on a photo shoot tonight as well but i will upload those pics tomorrow because i will have to edit them. lol

So.....Uni is over and i am home to play with my car again.

Fist thing i did is get my RS from my mate who was keeping them for me and then as soon as i took one of the caps off i looked at the bolt holes and they looked a bit small so i took a bolt from the passat and as i suspected the holes are too small for the m14 bolts.

Today was very productive, Went machine shop and got a price to enlarge the holes in the RS. Then i got the tyres taken off, Washed my car, fitted my new bonnet bra and then started splitting down the wheels.

The FIRST time these wheels have been split. They are completely original.

Will look better with smaller tyres. lol.

Heating up sealant to take out centers

And the "look i have wide wheels" pic that is mandatory when taking apart RS. lol
