    DeHate's MK3 Golf

First off, this is my old car. I miss the fuck out of it. I want it back.

Well, long story short, my subframe didn't get along with some railraod tracks one day and got bent to hell and back. The car needed work, and I was broke, and after that happened, I had to sell it. So I sold it locally, and picked this pile up from a friend. These pics were after a few things were adjusted and fixed. It's a clean and reliable car though, and I'm glad to have it. I just miss my old car.

After 2 months of owning the car, I realized it was bad luck. I got a speeding ticket, then exactly 2 weeks later I got pulled over for being too low, and got a seatbelt ticket as well, and then exactly 2 weeks after that, I got in a small accident. Luckily, dude was cool and I just paid for his bumper out of pocket, and I didn't get a ticket and my insurance didn't go up. I'm so thankful for that, 'cause keep in mind, I'm 17 years old, work 3 jobs, and I'm still struggling to pay for shit. Anyways, after the speeding and seatbelt tickets ($374 combined) were paid for and I gave this guy $300 for his bumper, I was left with no money in my pockets and a fucked up hood, a cracked headlight, and no grille. I saved for a few weeks, and then I decided to go scout for a Jetta front end. Here's a pic on the way to the junkyard...

Luckily, I got a hood and headlights on the cheap...

And that is about where I'm at now. I'm ordering a grille, new front tires, and a new timing belt and tensioner tomorrow. Upcoming plans? Well, after the grille, tires, and timing belt are installed, I'm gonna save for a few months, and hopefully by the end of the year I'll have the body work done and it'll be ready for paint. I'm stuck on color choices, but we'll see what happens.

    I'll keep you guys updated.
Working...
