  • Vip styled IS.

Hi guys, my second coming. Some of you might remember my car when I first introduced myself. But well it's gone through a lots of things since back then & now wanted to give it a fresh new start! So here you go.

Well this was the starting point on may 2009.

This is how I rolled the summer 2009.

The car as you can see is Lexus Is200 '99. It was totally stock back then when I got it exept those 8x18" Dotz rims w/ some 225/40 tires which I first changed to 215/35 and then get rid off those wheels. It also got the tte frontlip which im totally in love with. Since then it's also gone through few modifications. Here I throw you some specs of this point.

    -Work Euroline DH 8.5x18" & 10x18" both +38
    -Toyo Proxes T1R 205/35 & 225/35r18
    -D2 coilovers
    -TTE front lip
    -Altezza window visors & grille
    -Black painted roof
    -Window tint all around
    -Black painted front- & foglights
    -Dietrich red/clear ledtails
    -JDM smoke side markers
    -6000k xenon
    -Junction Produce kituna & fusa
    -Custom made curtains
    -Pioneer Deh7100Bt

Also have lots of plans for this car which in the near future are black painted mirrors, trd boot lip, custom VIP side tables, JP cushions+other stuff & custom floormats w/ some nice aluminium emblems. Will post them as soon as I get something more done. Now let the photos speak for them selves & let me know what you all think.

I like, don't see that color hardly ever. Have you entertained the idea of chrome door handles? I think they might g well with the dishs, just something to think about if you ever get complaicent.

                    First thanks for the replys.

About the chrome door handles well personally dont like em. I think those are too played out and dont want to see that much chrome in my car either. Those rims, grill and once I get my hands on some nice exhaust setup are enough chrome for me. Instead of it I would paint door handles possibly black like my roof and mirrors. But it's not in my to do list yet so if you dont like the idea dont worry yet.

Here is also a photo from today. Was lucky that my friend noticed that my tire was empty. Otherwise I could make some serious harm for the wheel if I'd drive it like that even a meter w/ only 0.5 bar on that tire. Well need to fix that tomorrow on our repairshop.

Well I'll keep you posted every time I get something more done.

Gotcha, funny, I was thinking about your IS after I posted and I came to the conclsion that one of the things I really like about your build is how clean it is. Colormatched doorhandles are smoothe. I'd leave them be. Sorry to hear about your tire, I've had 2 incidents in a matte or weeks where I picked up debrit, then a bubble in one of my sidewalls deforme on me...like they say, gotta pay to play. Glad you discovered it before it was to late. Good luck getting it fixd. Happy trails.

EDiT: I am really feeling the shaved trunk too. Ever concider painting the clear strip on your tails red? Might flow well with the whole clean theme.

Well got it fixed as the first thing in this morning and im now back on the road.

The door handles well I think I'll just leave em to be like that. Just getting the mirrors painted during this week. And never thought on spraying the tails fully red. Was thinking on opening the rears and painting the lower part also black the same way I did w/ the fronts and sides. Well have to think between these two ideas.

NiCE! Glad to hear you fixed it - I assume it was patch/pluggable. I like your idea too, about opening hem up and painting the inside of the clear black. Would tie what you did to the front end together with the rear of the car. Either way, that's one clean IS. My first project was a 93 Camry I inheirited (well tookover the payments on) frm my parents. Ever since I've had a soft spot for Toyota/Lexus
