E30 Vert Build

Since I'm about to finally get started on modding this guy, I figured I'd post it up.

It's titled as an '88 325i Convertible but it's pretty clearly at least a late '91. Mileage is unknown but the engine runs well.






The interior is in decent shape. Dash is crack free and the seats don't have any tears or much wear on them.


First thing I did was some maintenance/repair and have a new top installed, and now I'm about to install coilovers. The paint is too far gone (my garage floor is red from trying to polish the hood), so Phase 1 will include a satin white vinyl wrap like my last MINI had. I've also got an IS lip waiting to be installed.

lol nice before and after. What suspension did you get?

They're ground control coilovers, shortened struts, 450/750. I still need to get it lower in the rear, but I'm going to wait to see how it settles before I figure out the best way to do that.

got some fatties on those rims! downsize those and you should have plenty of room for fun. anyone try some nice concaved rota grid's on one of these? (i am obsessed with te37's) i vote yay.

Yeah, wheels in good time, but right now I'm broke from the suspension. I've seen Rota grids on an e30 and wasn't a fan.

yeah, i hear ya i get the wheel suggestions all the time people are like...GET WHEELS AND REAL ONES. STRETCH MOAR LOW RAWRRRR. yeah brb lemme just pull 3 g's out of my ass lol.

Exactly haha. I've already spent more in maintenance/repairs than I originally spent on the car (not including suspension) so I'm pretty much broke.
