  • TE72 Wagon project: rotbox.

so ive been updating a local site pretty consistently on my wagon. figured ide let ya'll follow along too.
    first a little background:
picked this car up 2 months ago for 300 dollars. its an 82 corolla wagon, TE72, has just over 110k on the original carb'd 3TC engine. lots of exterior rust, but underneath is solid, and the interior is MINT. came with 84 supra wheels, that are 14x8"

since i got it ive shaved the rear bumper, added a bosusoku style exhaust, edelbrock filter, removed the air pump and air conditioning. and gave it a serious detailing. altho much is left.
also just added a rocky mount bike rack, and various other little nuggets here and there.
heres how she sat when i got it.

with the new shiny thing under the hood:

then i got bored and had some paint, so i ghey-dee-em'ed my...rocker..cover...

    tinted the tails: still post-drop.

Then ambition kicked in and i tackled the front drop: via spring cutting.

at the time this seemed very low, until i dropped the rear....

Fronts gonna go down another inch i think ...might just break down and buy the ae86 coilovers so i have control of ride height.
the rears are sitting on 4 inch lowerinf blocks and u-bolts for an s-10 chevy.
gonna get 4 new tires for the 14x8 supras, i think a 175/50 should strech well.
i have alot left to do on this car, but its such a blast to drive, and i get complimented everywhere i go.
ill keep updating as more stuff happens.

Its just my opinion but....either give it a new paintjob/rust restore, or rust the whole car out, and roll with that style.

pick up some spokes for like $300, get some low profile tires and your good to go
