  • The Brit from Germany

Hey there, my name is Daniel and I'm from Germany.

And this is my Daily rockin 12" .

The Old and REAL Mini Cooper, build in 1995 pumping 63hp on 715 KG, 1.3 litre engine, make a whole fukkin noise , I own this Car since '08, and have now come down to build in a new suspention cuz the old one really sucked. As soon as i had put the new trumpets installed in the rear it came down like 7cm, now you can imagine how raised this ass was. xD front came down too just because of the new shock about 2-3 cm and will go down like an other 2cm.

The Suspention basicly are just 4 gigantic Rubber Cones in addition to 4 GAZ Shocks, (I'll post a picture sometimes when i have to remove the wheels once again ) thats all, no coils, no...no nothing accually, it drives like its on rails. A little GOCART on rails. Engine and Interiour are still bone stock, and till i begin my rebuild which is set to begin the next year (rust sucks) i may change a bit, but i want to focus my money on my next project which is going to be a R34 Skyline or a S15 Silvia, and those car are hard to get in Germany, so they are pretty expencive, had my mind on a VTec Swap but thats almost as expensive as buying those other cars .

its rockin 145/70 R12 on 4,5x12, i cant put spacers in there cut it almost rubs, and in germany its illegal to scretch tires, so cant change anything there.
also its running adjustable tie rods, -1.5° camber in the front and -0.6° in the back. before that it was +1° in the back and 0° up front.

also its going a bit to reverse rake, but...i dont mind cuz in the next few weeks i will install the adjustable trumpets which are holding the rubber cones in the front so i can get lower

so thats about it. I have plans to change the wheels, but its hard because english parts are hard to roll legaly around here

dont know if, THIS low will stay my daily setup because its realy stiff, and i have to give this litte sucker some place to work out his new shocks.

so i leave you with this, and have a nice day

Well, eventhough nobody answered to my thread, I will post some updates.
After more than 6 months, something happens, i got a new job and some money in my pocket left to buy some parts.

These are Ultralites in 5.5 x 12, just got an inch wider and went from ET35 to ET10. Kept the 145/70R12 to fit the 5.5 and so I got a little strech on the tires, i am total happy with it.

I'm just glad that I did not have to f around with the arches to fit the wheels, in the pic there's some 4x4 status, because it has been on the lift for like 3 months.

    RearFitment!:

Currently i'm rebuilding the gaskets for the cylinderhead, header etc.

thats it for now, dont want to change to much on the car, it kills "the mini" if you go weird on it.

Will update when everything is done and it's running again.
    cya

Well...Yes but in Ger. the freakin Tüv does not allow anything if you dont have prove. For everthing, every stupid part that you replace has got to have some sort of paperwork to it, and I dont want to "germanize" a car from england, or japan ^^, i'm getting off track again

As I said, updates by the end of the weekend.
