  • R33 "Practical daily"

So I've been wanting to make this post for a while now, though don't know if it really belongs here.

Long story short, I gave up on cars, and now i'm back...

    Car history,
    Holden VX Calais
    - Nissan Silvia S15 - Spent too much time and money on it
    - Toyota Cressida
    - Nissan SIlvia S13 - Bought to play with but ended up selling
    - Toyota Surf
    - BMW E39 M5
    - Nissan Silvia S13
    - Toyota Landcruiser VDJ76
    - Honda Civic ED - Sedan

I got bored of not having anything "fun" (to waste money on) so I decided to buy an R33 Sedan

The last owner decided she wanted to go to war with a moped and dented both front and rear drivers doors (luckily she had replacements for me)

    It was very underwhelming:

Had a boat load (lol) of issues:
    - Cracked Windshield
    - Reverse not working
    - Busted PS pump
    - Looked like shit
    - S1... So shit...
    - 320,000kms
    - Automatic
    - idled like shit
    - stalled constantly

    What It had:
    - S2 tail lights (that i've since sold)
    - Running engine

    What I've done so far
    - Replace 2 doors
    - Replace Windshield
    - Fix random engine issues
    - S2 Front end
    - S2 Rear Garnish and Matching Lights
    - Coilovers BC/BR
    - Genuine M Spec Skirts

It still looks shit, but it's getting there..

    Picked up my TE37s,

    17x9.5+12 front
    18x9.5+12 rear

I think i'm going to eventually get a pair of 18x9.5+22 for the rear to pull some of the camber out, and put the +12s on front, but it looks ok for now.

Besides it's only running 7psi through a slush box so i don't really need traction lol..

Anyway, finally looking less like a piece of shit.

Need to do a few things: Tuck exhaust, Replace plastic under-tray

But at the end of the day it's no GT-R.

End car is to have a semi-half-reliable fun daily that's not too high but not too low...

Haha the car didn't even have a wiper arm when I got it :P

Was easier to buy an arm then remove the motor and buy a plug.

cleaned up pretty well! looks way better from the rear for sure, I'm not sure what to think about the front.. Only thing I would add for sure are rain guard/window visors, but that's only an opinion. keep up the good work, n 4 more.

Yeah rain guard/wind visors (whatever they're called) are on my list, but paint and manual conversion are high priority
