They are amazing machines, nothing like a fast 4 door!

    Header time continued!

    Tape, Tack, Weld, repeat

These two runners are critical, I lowered the body back onto the sub-frame to check the fit before tacking

A little close for comfort, need to rework this one a little bit

Checking clearance on the collectors, everything looks pretty good

    Sub-frame out again, rinse repeat

Fixed the runner nearest the steering shaft

    Moved to the second runner

    Tack em

3 fully tacked and set, just 5 more to go!

That is all I got for this update

Supersprints I always thought looked the coolest with those old school spring collectors

    Update time

    Headers continued

    More chop

    More tape

Test fit of first runner, driver side is most difficult as the steering shaft/box is within a few inches of the engine block in areas

Me pretending to be the body of the car

The thing to keep in mind is that you have to be able to get to the fasteners for attaching the headers once its all welded together

Now that the first runner is mostly located I could move to the collector

You want to make sure you have "place holders" in during the build as this fit into the collector should be very tight, bundle a few short sections of straight tube together

Now your ready to continue with the runners

After dropping the body back down onto the engine/sub-frame and bolting all back together, it was evident I needed to do a few more tweeks

    Its getting closer

    And its tacked together

1st runner is tacked, only 7 more!

This first runner is the most important one, everything else will be built off this, it pays dividends to get it right now rather than later

    Till next time

Green you never see, super cool color.

Yes making the entire exhaust, from block to tips all hand made stainless, going to be a good time

Agree, you can make these for 1/5th of the cost of those "name brand".

Sidenote SuperSprints look like absolute s*** (as far as the build quality) to be honest

Also learn as much as you can from your pops, if he has all that equipment. I wish I had learned more from my gramps when he was alive.
