  • E92 M3 Race show build!

First thread on Stance Works, and hopefully not my last.
Came across this forum via Mr Fidowicz of CANDY. His lush e46 coupe always comes up on my FB/IG feeds along with his breathtaking photography skills! Unfortunately, i haven't got the same way with words as he does so you will have to bare with me! I have never really been good with English! I Apologize!
Upon browsing the builds on here, I noticed Lewis who is very local to me with his lupo arosa hybrid and his other toys i cant seem to catch up with!
Both VERY genuine people within the car 'scene'.

A little bit about myself, I live in Warwickshire, UK, I am 21 years old, I feel very old, how bad is that! haha! Work as a self employed electrician, began an apprenticeship as soon as I left high school (Secondary school) and i absolutely love it! lots of freedom and meeting new people everyday! Every weekend of mine is spent either with my fantastic girlfriend and/or attending car shows in the UK swell as ventured across the pond into France and Austria with many countries in-between !

While we are on the subject of cars I suppose i better start talking about my past vehicles.
Now i say vehicles becuase i actually didnt start with a car, i started with a van, a mk3 VW caddy to be exact, 1.9tdi, pd104, God i miss this thing! colour coded, sat very low on vw scirocco wheels with the good old generic 1.9tdi remap which overfueled to Fxck, but it was a very fun motor! especialy in an emoty van with very short gears, it suprised a lot of people!

Now, my first car, Purchased in June 2015, Audi a5 coupe, 2.0tfsi, purchased off Mike @motech performance, a mainly performance (believe it or not) orientated shop in northampton, this car, i guess was the ticket into the VAG show scene, spent a couple of years with it and it did everything i needed it to! Sold 2 months ago and very sad to see it go! Here is a picture from Ultimate Dubs 2017

Ill start the next post with the m3!

Hopefully i figured out how insert pics!

So the m3, here she is, 2008 57k miles on the clock, now I had my mind set on an m3 before i even driven one, couldn't of been too bad surely! luckily it wasnt! they are fantastic to drive, picked mine up bone stock apart from a set of avant garde 359'S which suit the car fantastically in my opinion.
The paint on the stunner is sparkling graphite, i love it and i think it makes it a little bit different to the other m3's which you see almost everytime in either black or white! To my knowledge there is only 200 other m3's in the UK with this paint, thats if people havent wrapped theirs around a tree, down a ditch or both!
it also has quite a few optional extras from factory which is always a bonus :

Option Professional Navigation, with new 2017 disc
    Option Elec Fold Exterior Mirrors
    Option Floor mats. Velour
    Option ISOFIX Child Seat System
Option Extended storage – with boot storage net
    Option Seat heating. front
    Option High-beam Assistant
Option Park Distance Control (PDC). front and rear
    Option Adaptive Headlights
    Option USB audio interface
    Option TV function
    Option BMW Assist
    Option BMW Assist online portal
    Option Voice Control
    Option Enhanced Bluetooth telephone functionally
    Option DAB digital radio
Option Loudspeaker system - BMW Advanced

    Here's some pictures:

So, the weekend just went, picked up a half roll cage from a friends old e92 coupe! the white really contrasts the rest of the car so stands out like sore thumb! need to figure out the best way to install with the least damage!

I will be watching this. As for installing the cage, just really really take your time, if you see spots that will hit, I would put down a few layers of tape and that should help. I never do that however and always scratch everything.

cheers for the tip man! the two ends that sit on the rear passenger foot wells, i haven't got many choices but to tapper it to the floor, rear, I'd like to keep the rear seats in ideally, especially if i go the air route, thats one thing i dont miss right now, the bloody air compressor going off every morning! if i can get some sort of bracket for it to sit into the isofix positions, that would be great!

Shit I wish I could have owned an E92 M3 at 21. In fact, I wish I could own one now...

                    Going to be sweet.

Thanks guys, as much as I would love to go absolute ham on this car, it's going to be slow as I'm saving up for a deposit at the same time, that being said, it will allow me to do things properly and not cut corners like I did with the a5,

Most of the UK shows will be attended mate, and a few across the Channel! First being heaven on wheels Belgium in March! Small update happening this weekend with some exhaust changes, will have to post a video.
