The most important part of the whole car... SUSPENSION!
Got the car up in the air.

You may ask, what on earth am I going to put on the car... well, I'm probably the only guy on the planet who would swap cut springs on to a car.

The car was on SPAX springs before (the blue ones, which from what I know are the lowest drop springs for an e28.) Next to it are Rusty's old springs... from before the air-ride.

Shortened up the bump stops... before:

    After:

Got it all put together and wound up removing another half coil.

    Rear spring comparison:

I put the car down on the ground and it sat on the wheel lip. No bueno...

It was time to bust out the fender roller... until it broke before doing any good what so ever...

But I still managed to get my roll on...

    How?
    TRIED AND TRUE!

    Doin' work:

And now the car sits with... guess...

Less than a paper's width of clearance... and it doesn't rub!
Its by far the tightest clearance of any car I have owned. Pics will never do justice.

So I set it back down..

    Bye bye 16s, bish!

    Up next, paint!

"Round Two" - An E28 Build

I bought this guy back on Saturday. I used to own it, but I never did anything to it. It left my possession and now that I have it back, it needs some love. A few things are on the parts list, but all in due time.

Here's the e28, as delivered. Not very pretty.

Before anything, I needed to replace a few things. Namely the radiator.

One of the necks was broken off so when the car got hot enough, the hose would pop off.
    Here's the neck:

Here's how its supposed to look:

I had rusty's old radiator from when it was M30 powered, so I grabbed 'er out of the garage and threw her in.

For some reason it was slightly different, and didn't want to sit upright... so I fixed that.

Then I dug up Rusty's old grilles and kidneys. Got the front end looking a bit better.

It still looks like an abused step-child.
Working...
