Just picked this beast up a few weeks ago. some decent work done to it, not hacked too bad, front end needs a llittle love because of the chevy front clip. just needs to be buttoned up and i should be crusing this thing soon.

ill try to keep this thread alive with pictures and such.

got a brand new 2016 tailgate for it the other day from a friend. it was taken off to use as a plow truck. (sander)

i have a 2016 front bumper coming and new headlights and grille.

Wasn't there a thread for this truck on here already or was that a different ford altogether, same sort of idea as this. Regardless this thing is super cool, I'd love to drive a bodied super duty.

Trying to figure out the power steering lines, im going AN so i need to find the right fittings.

some fittings came in the other day and they work. just waiting on the backordered ones.

ford pump/hydroboost with a chevy steering box.

slow progress but progress none the less.

This is as awesome build so far

Just a heads up in my previous experience with using AN fittings/lines for power steering lines is they don't work. I made up some lines for a previous build and they kept blowing the line off the fitting as they couldn't handle the high pressure. I had some hoses made up with crimped fittings at a local hose shop and never had an issue again. Turned out to be cheaper than AN too

So apparently the 6.0 is junk and the previous owner screwed me. whatever. im over it, nothing i can do about it. so putting a 12v with an allison trans. i have a lead on a bread truck with the powertrain running and driving for 2k so im going to scoop that up and proceed.

on a good note i put new headlights and grille along with a 2015 bumper. need to make some brackets to get it aligned properly.

Sorry to hear about the engine problems- the Ford diesels have always been pretty hit-or-miss even at the best of times. That Allison should treat you good, though- a buddy of mine has one in his Chevy and we've done some STUPID things wth that truck and still haven't hurt it.
