Hi all,
You may know me from commenting on all of your Stance Works posts, from my instagram or from my absolutely abysmal Polo 6n2 build thread where I did nothing but paint my Halfords wheels grey.
I don't want to talk about it.
My Polo was so appallingly terrible that it would put your average motorist off driving forever.
So I got rid of it, for a whole £200. Personally I wouldn't have paid £20 for it, but there's a market out there for everyone and every thing I guess.
In the past 6 months my life has changed tremendously - I finished full time school for what I think will be forever, I finally started one of my dream jobs at the age of 18 after 7 months of waiting for it(humble brag soz not soz), my website Candy Showroom has been growing and growing and I've met more car enthusiasts and like minded people than I ever thought I'd be lucky enough to meet.
Apart from meeting some amazing people, the most important thing there is my job. With my job came the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream. Infact, one of the reasons I made my Stance Works account was because I enjoyed reading MommysLittleMonster's E36 rebuild thread so much that I needed to comment on it and let him know how much I enjoyed reading it... and more importantly to say that...
That was posted on the 28th of March 2014... blimey.
But that's the bit there, where I said I wish one day I can blah blah M car.
Well.
This has not happened - but but but!
I'm definitely a step closer, and I've definitely ticked off something major off the bucket list in the process.
I bought my first BMW.
Being able to say that alone is one of the most satisfying things I've experienced (as well as driving the damn thing and some other bits and bobs heh...) and it's definitely a childhood dream which I've been lucky enough to turn into reality.
I hope you guys enjoy this journey as much as I know I will, and especially now I don't have to worry about my job I know I ca afford to actually do thinga to this car unlike the Polo were I was making 3 shillings a week.
Plus, I have the type of friends who will peer pressure me into doing silly things to this car anyway.
Right so, the car is a 2003 BMW E46 318ci - 2.0l 4 pot with 150bhp. Now I don't want to blow my trumpet, and all of you Americans are probably laughing at me but for a 19 year old in London that is a shit load of power to have underneath your right foot. I've only had the rear end out properly once when I got cocky and downshifted on a roundabout.
Safe to say it was fun - however I got lucky to hold it and I can't see myself being lucky again. Once was enough.
It's a pre-face lift (2003 was the last of the pre-facelifts) and it's got 98,500 miles on the clock. As with every 318ci, it's leaking oil and I think the source of my leak is a rocker cover. I'll replace the seal as soon as April is over and I have money again as I spent all of my shillings on this car this month as it is. Every now and then when I gun it there's some white smoke coming out of my exhaust too according to a friend that was following me, although I think this only happened when the engine was cold. Hmmm, I'll look into it. As it stands, I'm not getting any negative feedback from the way it drives. Everything works perfectly (apart from what feels like a bushing in the front left somewhere, I'll be sure replace the main rubbers on the thing.)
The rear lights are peeling. That's okay though, I'll be replacing them with the facelifted LED tails.
Full black leather interior. It's not electric, however that does not bother me one bit. No rips or cracks, it's beautiful and comfortable.
The paint... well it's immaculate. I actually went to see this car without seeing any photos of it as the advert was fresh off Autotrader and the feller didn't get the chance to upload any photos. Boy was I chuffed when I saw the condition of it.
I have a day off on Friday, I'll give it a full detail then and probably take the front plate off.
Anyway here are the photos...

I've never driven something so perfect, so precise. I'm absolutely in love with it and I cannot wait to see what time has in store for this thing.
I already know exactly what I'm going to do to it... however where's the fun in telling you everything?
Thanks for reading, see you in the next update.
Michal
