I'm Brandon, I live in Miami and I am a new Miata owner. I'm also using this thread as an intro too lol

So I was in the market for a Miata and all the ones here in Miami are trash, so I expanded my search. I ended up driving 3.5 hours for a Miata that I prayed looked as good in person as it did in the ad because it happened the day before when I went to see another one.

This will be a slow build because I have a lot going on at work but basic plans as usual are drop and wheels. gonna replace the plugs and general maintenance first.










As you can see, decent. So I picked it up. and instantly took off those hideous decals and fuzzy seat covers.

Haha this Miata is super clean but I did think it was spam at first. The wheels are a little big imo, are they 17's? Other than that this car has great potential. Also +1 swag point for 90's pin striping

no they're just 16s with huge tires, came with the car. not sure what car they're from, to be honest.

by the way, I wanted to show you guys the car I had before this because everyone shows their previous ride, technically it was my truck but it was an E46 sedan 5 speed before that. coilovers and 17x8s

Small update

I got some coilovers and installed them



the fronts are all the way down but I have some pretty fat neogens on those NB stocks so I could barely turn the wheel. the inner wheel well plastic was laying on the tire, gonna yank those out soon.

just got the radiator and some hoses replaced and drove it away then the old heater hose busted from the pressure so it went back for more hoses

raised up the front a little until I get a wheel setup going. the rears can still go way lower




also, i have a lip on the way and a shorty antenna

another update, not that anyone cares lol but at least I'm logging my progress.

so I noticed a pretty decent oil leak around the valve cover so I decided to take it off and replace the gasket. and in doing so I was like fuck it I'll paint it too.

surprisingly the contact points were fairly clean!

I went with engine aluminum paint and I had a cracked vacuum hose on the bottom right of the valve cover that was making me idle funny, so I replace that hose and clamps. here it is all buttoned up




oh! and I got my lip and installed it
