Hey guys,
Last year I started a thread on my MK2 Golf. I sold the car soon after de last update and I sort of "forgot" to start a new thread for a couple of reasons; The new project didn't go very fast, I sold and bought a bunch of cars in the last year and the most important, I just didn't have the motivation to start collecting al the pictures from old phones of computers to make a thread about a car that wasn't worth showing here. But because the dutch guys on here kept pushing me I decided to start i now.
Quick summary on what cars i've had in the last year:
Silver MK2 Golf 1.6 1983
Red MK1 Jetta 1983 (the project)
Green MK3 Fiesta 1.3 1993
Yellow/Green MK2 Polo Steilheck 1.3 1990
Red MK2 Golf 1.8 Automatic 1987
So yeah, It where almost all VW's. After I had the red Golf I decided I wanted something completely different as a daily...
But why don't we just start at the beginning?
Oktober 2015:
I bought my first car, a silver mk2

Bought some other wheels and tried to fix it up a bit.

After getting it trough MOT I realised that it would take a lot of time and money to fix it up completely (rust, wasn't running right etc) and sold it, because I would rather spend the time and money on a car that was really worth it.
So in February 2016 two weeks after I sold the Golf I went looking for a project and found a MK1 Jetta that needed some love.

It had a 1,8 KR on Webers in it that produced approximately 170HP, But it just was too expensive for me and it needed too much work to get it running as a new daily driver. Turned out the owner only bought it as a donor for his US-spec MK1 Caddy that needed an engine and suspension. So I got a good deal on a Car that was almost completely stripped (smart idea right?)

So now I had a new project, and I needed a reliable daily. 2 days later I bought this:

A 1993 MK3 Fiesta 1.3 piece of shit, but hey! atleast it drove...
I then picked up some parts I would need for the project, including an in almost perfect condition brown interior al complete, and some (not so perfect) BBS RM012's for practically nothing.

See what I mean with not so perfect condition? I only had 3 usable rims, so i needed(still do) to find 1 rim, four new outer barrels in the correct sizes and four hubcaps.
Gave them a wash and this was what I was left with:

I decided I wanted a reliable and powerfull new engine in the Jetta so I got hold of an Volkswagen Passat B4 with a 2.0 8v producing a decent 116HP.

In June 2016, after a couple of months of using the daily as an offroader I decided I wanted something else.

So I picked up this from a fellow member:

Yeah, that's a twingo roof! after 10 days of driving the shit out of it the MOT ran out, so I had to fix that.

Unfortunately it kept failing the MOT and I lost all the motivation so I sold it, and the daily and bought something else in September 2016:

It was a MK2 Golf 1.8 Auto from 1987, didn't do much on it except some wheels and went to a couple of meets with it.

What's that in the corner?! Indeed, I sold the polo to the garage next to the carwash.
I quickly realised I didn't like it as much as the other cars because it was an automatic, and I couldn't go any lower because the gearbox would hit the ground. So... unsurprisingly I sold it! After that I decided I wanted something completely different than what I've had the last year. Sooo

:
November 2016:

That's right, I bought myself an all original 1991 ED Civic 1.3. The PO is a old lady who had it for more than 15 years, and her daughter owned it before her since it was new. It has had a rough life and saw a big collection of poles, walls and other cars if I check all the damage around the car. First thing I did was change the rims. But I couldn't resist to buy some coilovers and did this
:

Now it's finally low! next thing to do was to make the front bumper atleast as low as the whole car so I screwed on a lip from an Golf MK3 GL that fitted almost perfectly! and went out to try to take some decent pictures with a camera.

I know it looks like a piece of shit (which it is) but I like it! plans in the future for it are a respray( on a budget ofcourse, this will never be a showcar of something), fix a decent exhaust (as this one is very close to dissapearing) and maybe fit some wheels that fit a bit more under the car rather than besides it
I had it on a lift at work last week:

Low enough?
I think so
I also polished a piece of the car to see what the condition of the neglected paint was, I unfortunately only had time for one fender but I'll try to get the rest of the car looking better as soon as possible!

That's about it for a short summary of what happened the last year, unfortunately the Jetta project isn't as far as I had hoped, but it will get there! As soon as I have some more free time I will go on with it, but the last half year I just didn't have the time and/or money to do what I want with it.
I hope you liked it, and I'll try to keep this thread updated on the daily(or maybe another in the future
) and ofcourse mainly on the project!
