Wanted to share my experience on this rather unique and fresh retrofit we did
I bought the Audi TTS (8S) steering wheel for my Audi A1. The steering wheel fits, to begin with but there are many issues.
1. The airbag
2. The horn
3. The hardest part of all, the steering wheel buttons to control Board Computer and MMI system
1 and 2 were sorted rather easily from the shop, but number 3, took some effort and time, and money.
We needed to make a module thing, to convert signals from one thing to another. It was done however and here are the results in two videos

And for an added bonus, Engine Start from the "*" button

That might be until I install an Engine Start button from the TTRS / R8 models
