  • My project e39 build

Hello, I have been following the builds and projects for a while now, so I decided to do my build. I am a little slow on progress, since it is my daily driver and have to commute for work.... Anyways, the car is a 1998 528i with the 5 speed and sport suspension. Anyways here are some ongoing work pics:

on winter wheels, summer are the factory rc90 which I rebuild on my bedroom

car had Koni sport, which I kept just in case

right now the wheels are on primer, looking for a cool color to paint them for this winter season, any sugestions?

    anyway, on with the project:

package delivery, thanks to the guys at Broadway Static for the help

Rear install, a little complicated, but nothing a 6 foot long prybar couldn't leverage...

now doing the front install, which compared to the rear, is a piece of cake. Stay tuned for more updates, and any criticism or compliment is appreciated

Interested to watch this, being a E38 owner the E39 is close enough. What's the direction? Inspiration?

I'd ditch the steel and go for some OEM style mags for the winter beaters though.

just building it as it comes along, as for inspiration, the many builds on this site.

some more progress, did the front coilover install, much easier than the rears. I think did it in half hour per side, compared to the hour for the rears.
have the pics on another device, so no pics of front install, but have some set up pics:

side pic, needs to go a lot lower:

left rear, have the bbs on a 10mm ECS tuning spacer

front, can't notice much, I suck at photographing......or better use a real camera and not a cheap tablet :-)

i know I can go another half inch on the rear, and at least another inch and a half easy on the front. Good thing on the Broadway are the fully threaded body, plus the camber plates. I am running 8k front and 6k rear, by spring I think upgrade the springs to 10k and 8k, or 12K and 8k. there is some bottoming with the 6k on the shitty NYC roads.
