My new track toy build
I purchased the car as a mk4 escort xr3i rolling shell with a sierra rwd floor pan.
the conversion was ok but a few things needed sorting and some just needed ripping out and trowing away.
the floor its self was ok but the front and rear inner wigs and chassis rails were cut short and then boxed together. the cage was made up from lots of different parts and installed badly, the fuel system used an old sherpa van tank as a cell with brake pipe for fuel lines.
the car also came with high offset granada hubs and which puts the wheels out buy about 2/3 inches.
the sun roof was removed and plated using silicone and rivets.
i picked up a complete roof skin to swap the bodged roof out.
i also picked up a complete sierra front end to change inner wings chassis rail front cross member support and bulk head.
i bought a mint mk3 shell that was found in a older gents garage wivh had been off the road since 1989 to use as a donor.
parts needed are wings, front and rear panel, scuttle panel, upper bulkhead, bumpers, lights, dash, door handles and some other clips and switches etc
power plant i have a 2006 focus st 2.5 5cyl turbo (volvo t5) connected to a cosworth t5 gearbox
