awesome build, I hope to do a bare metal restoration one day. Glad to finally AE86s getting some much deserved attention
Hahah thanks, well i'm a bit of a nostalgic and i really **** complicated eletronic stuff so carb is the best solution for me.
Plus i heard that throttle response with carb is much better.
Lets see, in one month she should be rady to make her first track day.
As i said this built is divided in two section one happaning this year ( THE RESTORATION ) one will happen the next years ( THE MODIFICATION for time attack pourpose ).
the idea is to slowly create a race car that will satisfy my track needs and also please my taste of style, a tailored race car .

    sitting just right

Its time to definitely put the car down on the wheels.
Here you can see the choice i made for the tyre ( TOYO R888 )

    yjjty

Here you can see how the car still sits pretty high and will need some coilover regolation to achieve the right stance.
Notice the restored tail light also i wont install the rear bumper because i have in mind a really abusive diffuser and chassie mounted gt wing but this will have to wait for the 2.0 version of this car that wont happan this year.
Infac for the moment i'll keep the aereo pretty close to stock with no splitter or other stuff.

    Brakes

So as some of you may have spotted from some pic before i also have all the brake line redone from 0 and also i sent the brake caliper n manster cylinder for a rebuilt.
For now i'll keep the brake area stock i think that, for the beginning, it should work just fine since the car will be very light.

Newest set of wheels are definitely your best choice for wheels thus far.

    Love the carbs, too.
