Another cheap and low e28 5er build thread

whats up guys. picked up a new project that came through work last month. ive always been a truck guy, so this will be my first attempt at a slammed weekend toy.

to start, a couple of the last cars:

88 ramcharger. really fun until the engine blew

A4 i picked up cheap that the "engine was blown". needed a fuel pump and clutch



DD that a traded in before i got some nice wheels for it:



traded that in on a new audi a4, that a lady was nice enough to Tbone me in, and total. i was too stupid to pay for gap insurance, so had to finish paying that off. current DD/trail project

now that we got that out of the way, on to the project! 1987 528e, picked her up for $800. runs and drives, AC works, tagged until february next year. was going to try and flip it to make a little cash, but after purchase i realized its been hit on the right side, both doors are OEM replacements. repaint on it is pretty shit, so ive decided to keep it and see what i can do on a budget.







body is in ok condition, few small dents, and a fender bender on the LF fender from a forklift at work running into it. the "old man tan" seats need to go, but that will wait until i find some real cheap.

all the chrome trim and black plastic is faded and worn, so i started with that this weekend. first i started with the taillights.

its going to be a pretty slow project, me and a buddy are close to finishing up a chump class miata build thats at the fabricator right now. drilled holes through the front and rear shocks on the bumpers, and sprayed them with WD40. next weekend ill be tucking in the bumpers, and finishing up the shadowlining on the windshield, around the windows/doors, and door the C pillar vents. depending on time, ill be pulling the suspension and seeing how low i can get the car to sit on stock cut springs.
