Been dabbling with buying, fixing up, and selling mostly euro cars for years now. Had some really cool stuff come in and out of the garage, got my friends all excited, then sold them quick. Picked up this party animal and for some reason, I just don't want to sell her! yet.
Car is a 1995 e320 Cabriolet 1 owner with 91k miles on her. All new top hydraulics, upper and lower wiring harnesses, headgasket, etc.
Wasn't in the market for another benz, but kind of stumbled upon this ridiculous deal at a local dealership. Had to have her.
Anyways- on to the pics.
First day home

Sanded and re-dyed the front seats that were severly cracked. Crap picture but the passengers is semi-complete, whereas the drivers seat is untouched. Came out really well in the end.

Installed a proper euro plate-

Met my boy chip while on a business trip in Louisville, KY
Flew into Boston to visit the parents, and found these Carlsson 1/6's at MIT right when I landed, picked them up at 2 am and shipped them back home (Myrtle Beach SC)
They needed to be refinished, here are some out of order pics of that process, they were horribly curbed-

Started prepping for a moderate, usable, functional low. Learned real quick Cabriolets are TOTALLY different that w124 sedan's coupes. EVERYTHING. strut mounts have these heavy weights for vibrtation dampning and weight distrobution, chassis has 4 diagonal braces that interfere with removing the LCA's, spring rates are totally different, Struts are cab-specific. So naturally I dove right in without any sort of baseline to go off of.
Also smoothed out my 215/40/18 tires for a nice clean simple sidewall, and test fit the carlsson's. Check out what I do- dbtires.com I can do redlines, goldlines, whitewalls, smoothing, and even etch your name or model of car in the sidewall.

test fit

And finally, lowered about 2" front and rear. Still have some dialing in to do, but this is where I stand today.
