  • My bagged K04 Mk5 from South Africa

    hello everybody

i guess i been into this stance thing for long, always had a liking towards it.
A few years ago i got this mk5 , at the time i wanted it to be quick.
so did some engine stuff, slowly got out of that life

heres the current situation before and after

    18x8 Detriots
    18x8 Interlagos
    17x8/9 Speedline minstral

So the car was pretty normal before the air......

    heres how it looked recently,
i will update the build thread when my pc is corresponding

here a few pics with the oz wheels, they 17" so there are some fitment issues.
trying to get the gap closed, 18" wheels are the solution, i am working on that....

this was how it looked recently

so i built these 17" speedline minstrals 17x8/9 and fitted the stock grilles, to match a bit better

    thanks for looking

so the 11j rears are too wide

a little camber will fix that

will test fit the rear again tonight, horrible boot install has been removed as well, should get the parts for new install today

so the first wheel is done for the rear

                    18x11j

test fit wasnt so successful, to get the rear to fit it has to be so negative the wheel touches the shock so working on a plan

install is looking a bit better too

been having so many issues getting the rear wheels on, seems a mk5 is not made for 11j wheels, the air lift rear shocks are to thick so with the camber the wheel is against the shock
The biggest spacer i can run is a 5mm because of the wobble bolts.
So a tough situation, so i tried the stock rear shocks, so far it appears as if its problem solved.
                      so lets see,,,,,,

                      rear sorted

front needs more camber, which shouldn't be an issue plate is only -3

                      and the last missing piece
